Welcome to the American Autism Association
The American Autism Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families with autistic children.
From the first time the question of testing for autism comes up with your pediatrician, through the time-intensive and emotional experience of testing out various schools and programs for children with autism, we are here to support your family’s unique journey. And we do it with compassion, diligence, and a constant eye to the big picture.
Facing Autism 2012 Together
These days, more Americans are being diagnosed with autism than ever. The good news is that there is a growing awareness of developmental disorders in general, and autism facts specifically.
But the work is not done.
Too many schools, preschools, and daycare centers still don’t know how to best address the needs of children with autism. And the public at large needs to learn just how much our children have to offer, so long as they get the support and understanding they need.
Providing our children access to strong programs—even during times of financial hardship—makes them brighter, healthier, and better able to express themselves and feel comfortable in the world. And that is the key to bridging the gap. By caring for our children in the best ways possible, we are automatically educating our families and friends, and in turn raising awareness in our communities.
Your Child Deserves Therapy For Autism Regardless of Your Income
Times are tight, and for many of us, there simply isn’t extra cash lying around at the end of the month. And when you’re working hard to provide for your family, it’s easy to feel emotionally tapped out at the end of the day.
At the American Autism Association, we work with parents who are struggling to make ends meet financially by connecting them with funding opportunities to send their children to the very best camps and after-school programs. That means you’re not on your own in the quest for affordable, quality care.
Our constant goal is to help you make sure your child comes as close to high functioning as they can, enabling them to live as independently as possible—and to retain the core traits that make them the unique child you love.
Are you ready to make some new decisions in your family’s experience with your child’s assessment? We are pleased to offer help. Contact us today to get the support you deserve.
