A group of teenagers are going viral after helping 5-year old Carter Braconi learn how to skate for his birthday. Braconi has had some trouble making friends but all of that went away when he was riding his scooter around South Brunswick Park in New Jersey. Braconi was befriended first by 13-year-old Gavin, who began giving tips to him on how to safely roll down the skate ramps without falling. After that he began teaching Braconi how to use a skateboard.
Once the teenagers found out that it was Braconi’s birthday they began singing happy birthday to him. One of them even gave him a mini skateboard as a gift.
Braconi’s mother, Kristen Braconi was touched by kindness the teenagers showed. She posted videos interactions of the boys together. She wrote in the Facebook post that “They were absolutely amazing with him and included him and were so beyond kind, it brought me to tears.”
She bought the boys ice cream and thanked them for their kindness. The boys were later identified by the local police department and were given honorary coins in recognition for their kindness. Braconi’s mother has said that she will be hosting a pizza party to properly thank the boys and give them more time to spend with him.
