Dear valued community member,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write you as the American Autism Association’s newly appointed President of the Board of Directors.

Because of your support the American Autism Association has proudly grown since our founding in 2010, offering much needed assistance for families and individuals affected by autism. With high hopes ahead, we enthusiastically enter into a new chapter for our organization – looking to take these efforts and further maximize our ability to help families in need.

We have already targeted some key areas of focus that are now our primary starting points, which include the following:

  • Maintaining our therapeutic recreational programs in New York and Florida, including Ballet for All Kids and Saddle Up for Autism.
  • Add new programs in NYC and Miami, such as boxing, soccer, yoga, and more.
  • Continually expand the educational resources we provide families, both online and in person.
  • Develop a strong community of volunteers and engaged supporters to widen our outreach.

With a significant background in management and marketing I love the process of growing a business (in this case, a not-for-profit) and helping our local communities. However, a person cannot succeed alone and I am happy to share that we have elected an enthusiastic Board of Directors. This impressive team is poised to help us reach our goals and beyond, specifically as we enter our end-of-year giving season which will act as a catalyst for our 2018 programs.

We rely on your continued support and thank you helping us make a difference in the lives of those that need it most. Please feel free to email me directly with any suggestions, recommendations or questions; I would love to hear from you.

I look forward to a successful year ahead!

With kind regards,

Caitlin Bendersky
