Assistance Dogs for Achieving Independence

  • ADAI helps children and adults with disabilities achieve greater independence by training and placing service and therapy dogs to assist with the individual's daily needs. There are some fees required, and travel expenses to Ohio are necessary.

  • Blessings Unleashed Foundation is a national, life changing program that turns rescue dogs into heroes for children with Autism. Their mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with autism by training and placing highly skilled service dogs. It is partnered with ADUC.

  • Canine Angels Service Teams provides exceptional dogs for children with special needs, promoting the child's independence and providing a better quality of life. Canine Angels Service Teams places professionally trained assistance dogs with children and young adults between the ages of 5 and 25 that have physical and developmental disabilities. It is partnered with the ADUC Voucher campaign.

  • Paws’itive Teams Service dog and Therapy Dog Programs, incorporated as a non-profit organization in California, provides service dogs for persons with disabilities, to increase independence and enhance quality of life. They custom train our service dogs to meet the specific needs of the individual and provide lifetime team support following placement. All placements are limited to San Diego County.

They serve clients residing in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and are based in Charlottesville, Virginia.
