I am writing this letter to express our gratitude to you and your organization. With your help and support our child will benefit from a socialization/recreation program where he will be taught how to interact and play with other children, also, have fun. If I may, I would just like to take a few moments of your time to speak on behalf of Gabriel and his family. I have worked closely with Gabriel Hernandez and his family over the last seven months as his special education teacher. From the moment I met Gabriel it was clear to me that he had a true passion for learning. He is always eager and motivated to acquire new information while working hard to refine the many skills he has already obtained. In addition to his academic achievements, Gabriel has been working very hard to overcome social-emotional obstacles that often impact his daily routine. Gabriel enjoys interacting with his peers but at times has a tendency to miss social cues. It is my belief that the root of Gabriel’s social-emotional deficits stem from a lack of self confidence. Accordingly, the main focus of Gabriel’s special instruction has been to provide him with the appropriate social skills essential to engaging in meaningful interactions with his peers.
